The Indiana Policy Review Foundation is the latest group to begin to ask if Indiana’s involvement in a national curriculum and testing plan is in the best interest of Hoosier children. Concerns over the nationalization of education through “Common Core Standards” are an issue in and of itself.  Still, even more basic questions remain over the wisdom of lowering our own Indiana academic standards in this highly competitive global economy.
